About Woof Wildlife
Woof Wildlife’s unique high-quality apparel is designed to celebrate animals. Our mission includes a commitment to the values and causes that protect the friends we share our world with. We are dedicated to producing beautiful and comfortable clothing with fabrics and materials that have been recycled.
- Fabric – Our recycled polyester uses PET as the raw material. We source this from clear plastic water bottles, so less of it ends up in a landfill. Recycled polyester uses less energy to process then virgin polyester. The greige yarns we use are certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).
- Zipper – Our zippers consist of two elements. Our tape is made of 100% recycled polyester and our teeth consists of 69% recycled POM. They stand up to quality tests without compromising on the environment.
- Hang Tags – The hang tags we use to put on your branding elements are printed on paper that is certified by The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
- Packaging – Plastic bags start out as fossil fuels and end up as deadly waste in oceans and landfills. In order to minimize the impact on the environment, we use packaging made of plant-based materials that is certified by DAkkS.
Woof Wildlife works with ethical and sustainable partners and suppliers that believe in the same values as us. Quality comes at a cost, and you are only as good as the people you work with. Our suppliers and their facilities are audited and regularly checked to ensure full compliance with their labor and safety protocols, their environmental management systems, and their production processes.
We want to ensure they are following ethical guidelines for their employees and their working conditions. They meet ISO45001 standards for occupational health and safety, ISO 9001 standards for quality and GRS for certified production with sustainable materials. In addition, our manufacturing partners are part of BSCI.
At the end of the day, we want to run a socially responsible business that conducts its operations in a sustainable way. We recognize it’s important to you, and it’s important to us as well. We believe it is the right way to grow a business for the future. We can’t save the world on our own, so we support causes and partners that align with our values, donating 20% of profits to organizations that share our mission to celebrate and protect our world.
About Our Charities
The World Wildlife Fund’s vision is to build a future in which people live in harmony with nature. To deliver this mission, they work to conserve and restore biodiversity, the web that supports all life on Earth; to reduce humanity’s environmental footprint; and to ensure the sustainable use of natural resources to support current and future generations.
Founded in 1995, the National Marine Life Center is an independent, non-profit organization that rehabilitates and releases stranded marine mammals and sea turtles in order to advance science and education in marine wildlife health and conservation.
Born Free works to ensure that all wild animals, whether living in captivity or in the wild, are treated with compassion and respect and are able to live their lives according to their needs. Not only does their conservation work occur in communities, classrooms, courtrooms, and the halls of Congress, they also operate one of the largest primate sanctuaries in the U.S.
The African Wildlife Foundation is an Africa-based global conservation organization protecting wildlife and their habitats as essential parts of a modern and prosperous Africa. They articulate a unique vision of African-led conservation, focusing on solutions that create opportunity for people — not at the expense of wildlife and their habitats, but because of them.
International Animal Rescue works to save animals from suffering, while also rehabilitating and releasing them back into the wild and working to protect their precious natural habitats. Their aim is to return animals to their natural environment wherever possible, but also to provide a permanent home for those that can no longer fend for themselves.
